Welcome to the Pattern Matching Algorithms course! This course is a part of the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN), and is hosted at IIT Gandhinagar during 28th August 2017 to 07 September 2017.

We are very fortunate to have Prof. Amihood Amir, Professor at the Department of Computer Science at Bar-Ilan University and Research Professor at the Johns Hopkins University, as the instructor for this course. Target Audience. The intended audience for this course consists of researchers, graduate students, or advanced undergraduate students familiar with data structures and algorithms, and interested in pattern matching algorithms.
Engineers who are interested in learning state of the art methods in pattern matching in their work (could be, but not limited to: computational biology, image processing, music analysis, text editing, and so on) would also find this course relevant.
