Gandhinagar is the capital of Gujarat, established as a part of sister city with Ahmedabad. It was visualized as a planned city along the lines of New Delhi, Chandigarh and Bhubaneshwar. Located on the banks of the river Sabarmati, the city is the administrative centre of Gandhinagar district and Gujarat as well.
A 400 acre campus on the banks of the river Sabarmati in the heart of Gandhinagar crowned the greenest campus in India in 2016.
